The Death and the Dragon Arc is a W.I.P. Series, written by Mel and Christy, that currently has one complete main section, a complete “e-mail fic set prior to the series” and several one-shots set after the series. The second book of the arc is being written now.

The fic is, in turns, heart-warming, sad, funny, and it is always well-written. The side-fics are all hysterically funny. This is a must read for the Gundam Wing fandom.

Pairings: Wufei/Duo, Heero/Relena, and Quatre/Trowa.

Warnings for the various sections vary = some are humor, some are angst.. All have a warning for sap. Also, it is slightly AU in that the war lasted for two years and the Eve wars never occurred.

Greased Wing is a completed fic written by Fablespinner. This is one of my favorite Gundam Wing fics, and it is an AU. It is set in 1959. (On the west coast, I believe). This is different from the GW fics I normally read since this is a Trowa/Quatre based fic, mainly focused on Quatre.

Quatre's father kicks him out of the house after finding out he is gay. Quatre goes to live with his older full-blooded sister who is also disowned – because she became a doctor. This fic, over the course of it, deals with prejudice, homophobia, stereotypes, friendship, love, acceptance and family.

*flails hands* It's just so well-written and true to the character. See, the thing with AU's is you have to have the character down pat. Otherwise, the AU fails as fanfiction – it may work, but it's not fanfiction. In this, Quatre's character is down. Trowa's is down. I think Heero's is a bit off, but otherwise... JUST READ IT.
